Temporary Immersion System

Temporary immersion bioreactor system is emerging as a potential advancement in the micropropagation industry. Large-scale micropropagation using existing technologies is laborious and expensive. The multiplication of shoots in TIB was 50 to 300 fold higher than the semisolid culture method, which is suitable for large-scale production of planting material for commercial applications.

Protoplast Culture

Somatic fusion, also called protoplast fusion, is a type of genetic modification in plants by which two distinct species of plants are fused together to form a new hybrid plant with the characteristics of both.

Target Mutation Breeding

Plant breeding is dependent on genetic variation, and new variation is fundamentally important for introduction of new traits in breeding programs. The genetic variation in a crop species can be achieved by chemical or physical treatments, translocation breeding, synthetic hexaploids techniques.

Secondary Metabolites Production

The secondary metabolites are considered essential chemicals produced during plant growth. These metabolites do not play a role in growth, development, and reproduction, and are formed during the end or near the stationary phase of growth. These metabolites are of industrial use. Examples are orange peel, basil leaves and trichomes in cannabis.

As native plants are adapted to the local climate, where they evolved and grow for centuries and their abortion under urbanization disturb the natural balance. Once these plants survive it save water, minimum maintenance, pesticide freedom, wild life support for food, feed, shelter and habitat perversion.
